I worked at South Bend Chocolate Company part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great crew
    Decent starting pay
Lots of free stuff to start (required to taste EVERYTHING to give accurate descriptions) and 30% discount for employees
Working here was great until a recent change in management

    Cons

Little to no advancement in pay and promotion
    Poor management
Corporate does not take complaints well --> they rarely do anything about them
Employees were blamed for management mistakes

    Advice to Management

Take care of problems when they arise, not when they need to be fixed.

I have been working at South Bend Chocolate Company part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free candy tasting. Fairly reasonable and flexible schedule. Good sense and feel of team work within the workplace. A fairly relaxed work environment (not high stress).

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity to rise in the company. The pay is sub-par. Management lacks showing how they care about the lower level employees within the company.

    Advice to Management

Take some more time to get to know the entry level employees and help them position themselves so they can grow and help the company.
