We are glad to hear that you are happy with the friendly, collaborative work environment. Also, we definitely understand the challenges associated with location and while we do ask employees to be flexible with location, we are excited to be able to transfer employees to their desired location based on position availability and employee performance. This year alone, we've been able to do so over 25 times to make "life simplified" for our team. With this said, I would make sure that your name is added to the 'Wish List' and you manager is aware of your desired location. Thank you very much for your feedback!

I have been working at South Carolina Federal Credit Union full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Monetary Incentives, like commission, 401k match, and paid time off

    Cons

Office politics; values and loyalty not priority any longer; too many changes to meet the needs of certain individuals vs the entire team/company; rules different from one location to the next; no consistency; fear and anxiety levels high across the board due to sudden layoffs. No work/life balance. Hours seem great, but easily can end up working more hours without overtime pay allowed. Advancement from within is based on who you know and how quick/high you jump when told to. Bury all opinions deep, deep inside, never to share them, if you want to remain employed there.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We are so glad you find our compensation and benefits competitive, but we’re also grateful for the constructive criticism you have offered. There does seem to be a misunderstanding about lay-offs. We have not had any lay-offs, and the company is continuing in a steady growth pattern. Your opinion matters to us, and we can understand how it may feel difficult to share your concerns without anonymity. That’s why we are grateful for forums like Glassdoor, so we can learn what is and is not working for you, while respecting your privacy. We also invite you to share your concerns on our internal “Woods Wire” which goes directly to our CEO Scott Woods anonymously (if you so choose). Perhaps you would feel more comfortable to share more specifics of your concerns, so they can be addressed and you can affect positive change for everyone.
