    Smaller community hospital with "family-like" feeling. Onboarding process inspires new employes and instills pride in working for the Cleveland Clinic. CEO has a daily presence at the facility and visits the units often. Educational staff meets with new employees to guage their satisfaction with training provided and to answer any questions.


    Understaffed -- every day, every shift! Manager on unit was frequently unavailable and unresponsive to staff needs/attempts at communication. Sadly, manager was also completely unsupportive of providing comfort care measures or quality interactions between patients and nursing/support staff because it "interferes with productivity."

    Advice to Management

    Encourage and celebrate Cleveland Clinic's philosophy of "Patient's First" by supporting staff that believe in "Providing World Class Care" -- as opposed to threatening staff with write-ups for overtime. Address the staffing shortages in order to allow for quality patient care. Lead by example. Become a part of the team and show your presence on the unit.
