I have been working at South Suburban College part-time

    Pros

Very rewarding helping to shape young adult lives. College gives tuition discounts to immediate family members and almost free to employees.

    Cons

The enrollment seems to be steadily declining, so its not the most reliable part time position. The classes you expect to teach at any time may get dropped due to low enrollment.

    Advice to Management

Market programs more. Upgrade facilities to match surrounding CC. Give students a real incentive to attend this college as opposed to going somewhere else.

    Pros

The best reason for working there is that objective to aid student in achieving their goals.

    Cons

The downside of working at SSC is that there aren't of enough students that realized how important as education is.

I have been working at South Suburban College (More than a year)

    Pros

SSC mission impacts the lives of individuals, families by partnering with businesses, local government, and human service organizations in Chicago's south suburban communities.

SSC students appreciate the learning opportunities that are available and affordable.

Faculty and administration work closely together focusing on the success and welfare of the students

    Cons

Variability in enrollment levels make it difficult to plan or schedule instructor loads much in advance of the start of each term.
