    Pros

-Good if you love being outside all year -Chances for raises yearly -Work independently

    Cons

-Policies change like the wind -Brown-nosing drama to even be considered for promotions -Do anything wrong or something a supervisor does not like, you are blacklisted and they will try to get you fired -Training is not all the same for every employee. You are trained by current employees, some with a lot of experience and some with hardly any, depending on whom you are assigned to. Therefore causing the new hire to be confused or taught wrong most of the time. Just barely started 'train the trainer' programs not long before I left

When push comes to shove; safety is not their priority.

Mar 1, 2022 - Field Technician I in Salt Lake City, UT

    Pros

Co-workers are generally pretty great people. Field work offers a lot of freedom. Do your job and they won't boss you around. They will trust you. The great outdoors is your office.

    Cons

Their safety policy is all smoke and mirrors. The bottom line is your personal safety and well being is not as important as their bottom line. Lousy pay for how dangerous this job can be. You will drive your own personal vehicle into the ground. 401 k package is a joke.
