    Pros

The district manager would help you and work shifts to cover so that employees aren't worn thin.

    Cons

Pay is much to low for the risk, dept managers are inexperienced.

    Advice to Management

Put more experiences nurses in charge and pay what they are worth. No job is just a job if it is they are working for the wrong reason.

    Pros

As a NURSE you are not part of a MACHINE at Southern Health Partners, you are part of a FAMILY. When you are a team member, you are not a "ordinary nurse", you are a "extraordinary nurse" ... you are face to face with the cause you became a nurse! This company instills values of NURSING values beyond expectations.

    Cons

GREAT COMPANY WITH GREAT PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES!!!!!

I have been working at Southern Health Partners full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have been with Southern Health Partners for more than 3 years and have been head nurse of my facility for more than a year. I also travel to other sites when extra coverage is needed. So I get to see the best of the best of the jails. I like to use what I find beneficial and take those practices back to my site for added organization. Being with Southern Heath Partners has been amazing. I am so spoiled as far as schedule wise, traveling, and resources. I cant thank everyone I have come in contact with enough for all that you do and will do in the future.

    Cons

Hmmmmmmm... You are making me think on this one. I guess if I had to say a con is that not every jail is online so submitting paperwork is done by fax. I would like to see every jail online and have access to those that do fill in so that way each place could be stream lined and more efficient.

    Advice to Management

To Lorna, Lynn, Sherry, Suzy and all other regional's, VP's, and administration individuals. Thank you! Thank you for all that you do! From reminders to submit information, to following up with individuals that need extra attention, to being on the ball when we - especially I - call for information. The wealth of knowledge and resources that is available is vast. It is definitely appreciated. Keep up the great job!

I have been working at Southern Health Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked several different shifts and many many jails. There are lots of opportunities to gain experiences that you may not otherwise have as an LPN. I started working FULL time at Craven County Jail for almost a year. I liked it but realized I needed change and a varied work schedule better suited my families needs. They have always been very willing to accommodate my evolving needs. I now work as a travel nurse in several states. I have found I love traveling and visiting different jails. You never know what your day will bring and you do have to have thick skin but it isn't "scary" or AS SEEN ON TV. I enjoy having the opportunity to offer healthcare to a "forgotten population" of the community. The providers, pharmacy and corporate are all very accessible and easy to work with.

    Cons

I don't really have a "con". However, due to the fact that I travel it can be challenging that every jail does things somewhat different. This can be due to the physicians, jail administration, sheriff or other factors. It is just a part of travel nursing that I have to deal with on a daily basis. However, Southern Health Partners works very hard at mainstreaming all paperwork, training, and in-services so that there is consistency.

    Advice to Management

Regional Managers Crystal, Lorna and Lynne and Statewide Director Susie are all very easy to reach and will answer any questions within minutes. They reach out to me often and I appreciate having them on my speed dial whenever a question or problems arises that I need help with. I feel like I have a wealth of resources.

I worked at Southern Health Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None, honestly. This company is all about, and only about the almighty dollar

    Cons

No training, non existent presence of management, always short staffed, nobody ever stays past a year if they actually make it a year that is. The last at least ten reviews were either put here by Corporate or asked to be put on here

    Advice to Management
