It’s very good balance of working and living. It’s very well structured to make success. Payment is decent.
Cons
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to go that much up no matter what success you may have, it’s all about “office politics “. There is a deep overlapping in many areas, so instead of a support you may get a “leg”. Most of employees trying not to go to the office if there is no need for.

Could be so much better. (it used to be)
Sep 18, 2012 - Sales in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great products to sell, some great incentives and rewards. Great health benefits. (Thanks to the Union). Great 401K. Some great co-workers.
Cons
This job used to be great! The work was hard, but the rewards were great too! We had commission, quarterly bonuses, car allowance, supplier trips, and amazing holiday bonuses. The commission is gone (from our division), the car allowance is gone, nearly all the supplier trips are gone, (or only a few go..and of course the managers)..The holiday bonuses are puny. The incentives overall are tiny or nearly unreachable. Experience used to be a good thing. Now as soon as you sprout a grey hair, they want you out the door. There is a noticeable "good ole boy" network in action. You get to move up based on your relatives, age, lack of family, and ability to say yes to everything no matter how demanding it may be. I actually work harder, get paid less, my car gets more abuse than a rental car, every time the price of gas goes up, more of pay is eaten up. I am watching people I trained, or people less educated than myself and others get promoted with reckless abandon. The pressure to hit extreme numbers is huge!

Great company to work for.. Great people and products
Aug 1, 2016 - District Manager in Union City, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great company to work for. Company is going through expansions, which is great and it's a recession proof industry which we can all be thankful for. Executives are willing to listen to your suggestions and also willing to think outside of box! You can create growth for yourself within this company. Great training and support!
Cons
Still heavy boys club mentality in certain areas. Need to hire more competent management individuals to lead a group (overlays), instead of hiring individuals with no management experience (they can make or break your teams). Need to hold more accountability for DM's and above, do regular 360 reviews annually to know how your leadership is doing in overall performance, including and most importantly how they are getting along with their team members!

Pros
Overall, I love my job and my position. My coworkers have become like family. We fight, we care , we bs. We help each other. Everyone knows their job and can get it done on time
Cons
3 weeks ago, my supervisor had me cover a route for a week, that is 2 1/2 hours away from my home and 11/2 hours away from our nearest warehouse. Which is normal and totally fine. When I asked which hotel I was staying at, he said I won't be. I said "your going to pay gas?" He said no, he called the representative that was on vacation and asked if I could stay at their house for the week. He told m it was not in the budget to pay for my stay or my gas to travel daily. The furthest account to write during the week was 4 1/2 hours from my hometown putting me at driving 9 hours in one day alone to complete my job. I tried to argue with my supervisor on how that cannot be federally legal. He told me if I can't get my assigned jobs done, there will be consequences....so to do my job, I stayed at a coworkers house for a week...sad company
