I worked at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers were amazing. House Supervisors were always polite and more than helpful. Managers were great as well.

    Cons

    Staffing and availability of supplies.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes Management should be audited by employees, or should have grading by employees.

I have been working at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly, helpful co-workers, ability to make OT if willing to float. New CNO, patient focus and customer service being prioritized now. Caring RN-1s and Nurse supv's. , that never mind being called on.

    Cons

Family Health insurance is ridiculously high! Pay below standard, the night shift is often forgotten about when perks are handed out.

    Advice to Management

•Figure out what can be done to lower our health insurance. Family coverage is almost $1,000/month.
•Start our own in house CNA school. Train our own CNAs, properly, from the start!
•AIDET is a wonderful tool, make it the standard, accept no less.

    Pros

Start your work day early and you could leave early. Entitled to two fifteen minute breaks in a work day.

    Cons

There were no windows in work area. Salary was low. To much drama among all the employees in the department.

    Advice to Management

    Need to revamp pay scale.
