I have been working at Southwestern Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is decent and the new building will provide value to those who live in the Woodlands/Spring area.

    Cons

Management is horrible!! Growth is slow and you are fed alot of lies. There is no communication within the company. They promote a great culture but in actuality it is a Hawk Culture.

    Advice to Management

Honestly- not even worth the time. You are shunned for expressing concerns or giving advice and favoritism is highly practiced.

I have been working at Southwestern Energy full-time

    Pros

    Compensation and benefits are fine

    Cons

When the opportunity for a promotion became available, I was not allowed to apply for the position. When asked why, a Senior Vice President said, "I don't want to give it to a military man." The senior management team of this company is extremely hateful to those who served this country. Veteran's stay away!!!

    Pros

The benefits and work life balance

    Cons

This is not a good place to work

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and move out the incompetent leadership. The place is falling apart and it is like you do not even care.

    Pros

no pros for this company; from a higher up out look, they "mean well" but are not promoting that throughout

    Cons

young group, a lot of catty girls that act like highschoolers; inability to learn, advance yourself because of the lack of knowledge sharing; promoted based on overtime

    Advice to Management

many of the accounting supervisors need to be booted!

    Pros

    The benefits are very good.

    Cons

No consideration is given to experience or education when promoting within the company. People in certain positions are overpaid given their expertise (or lack thereof) in the industry. Promotions are based on the "good ole boy" system.

    Advice to Management

Promotions should be awarded to those meeting minimum qualifications. Promotions should be available to all who are qualified. Balancing work and family should be a priority.

I worked at Southwestern Energy full-time

    Pros

Great work schedule - 2/2 rotation

    Cons

No real advancement opportunities; blatant favoritism seen

    Advice to Management

Bad decisions from upper management got almost everyone laid off on team

I worked at Southwestern Energy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

"The company does provide decent benifits, flexible schedule and work life balance"

    Cons

"Leadership does not follow the formula they preach about "right people doing the right things", to many leaders will let fantastic employees leave the company because of their own "personal" feelings. If you are an older employee do not expect the same treatment as the younger employees or the same pay, even if you have a degree. I have seen younger employees without a degree get paid more than veteran employees (with a degee). High treat their veteran employees with the respect they deserve.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your veteran employees and move them up theadvancement ladder as you do the younger employees, you might move back you the "Best places to work" survey again. Ever wonder why you keep slipping down?
