I worked at Sovereign General Insurance Co. (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros in being overrecuited.

    Cons

Lost other opportunities as a result of this.

    Advice to Management

Review resumes thoroughly before recruiting. When looking for someone to mail room like duties - recruit accordingly. When advertising for senior admin staff - the job duties need to be in that category.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Sovereign General Insurance Co. full-time

    Pros

Great company to works considering I worked for three others.
Positive interoffice relations between all departments.
    Compensation that meets industry standards.
    Great benefits plans.
Over all a great place to work at with great and approachable management team.

    Cons

As mentioned compensation can be a little better, but considering the positive atmosphere and great management this is something I personally do not mind.
Less opportunity to move up, but this is strictly due to the size of the company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Cons

small comp in calgary competing with oil and gas on staff

    Advice to Management

marginally more to retain good quality employees and listen to what emplyees would like to change rather than what makes sence on the balane sheet
