I have been working at Spartan Motors full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company is moving in positive directions with a new CEO, CFO, and segment presidents.

    Cons

The company is in change process mode with many systems right now and it can create frustration but there is a clear view of the future.

    Advice to Management

Spend the money to move along system integration/update processes.

    Pros

Not much, truly. There is potential to produce good products and work but you need to have some stability in team to move things forward.

    Cons

This place is absolutely toxic! They lure you in with titles, pay, etc. but soon after you arrive, you see that you have just sold your soul to the devil. Since I have been here, almost the whole team that was hired in within the past year is gone. My classless boss just bad mouths everyone using 4 letter expletives all the time, so I know she is doing that to me when I am not around too. My coworkers are all encouraged to "tattle" to try and save their jobs, so it is not a place where you can trust anyone and DON'T go to HR for help...that is the kiss of death. I need to get out of here!!!

    Advice to Management

Look for the common denominator in all of this and remove her if you want to keep your investment in people. Otherwise, continue to expect turnover and stagnation.

    Pros

.............well, not much to say here.

    Cons

Poor middle management. No guidance from upper management. Do as i say not as i do. You are required to build trucks with little to no parts. The small town clicks are amazing. Minorities, don't even think about it.

I have been working at Spartan Motors full-time

    Pros

    Exciting products to work on

    Cons

A new CEO last year and he has changed out the business unit presidents and everyone at the director level. The culture has changed to a dog eat dog environment. There is no trust. People hold information or don't speak up because they are scared to lose their job or be the one to be blamed.

    Advice to Management

Start treating the employees as an asset.
