    Good people
    Interesting projects
    Cool products
    Flexibility
Opportunity to learn & be involved in as much as you want

    Cons

Some higher management is not qualified to be in their positions which leads to dysfunction when trying to complete projects across teams/functions. Understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Clean house and get good people in the right spots.
    Set quantifiable goals.
    Set clear responsibility.
    Be transparent.

I worked at Spartan Motors part-time

    Pros

Good learning experience, improved my typing and organizational skills. Was flexible with taking time off.

    Cons

I worked in fabrication and was given far too much responsibility for my pay-grade (minimum wage) and was called in for 2 hours at a time. So some days I would make $12 after taxes.
Most days I filed paperwork and entered orders but sometimes I was instructed to go out onto the floor and label parts. I received no real training and never felt a part of a team. The year I was here we were consistently about 3 months late on parts and the workers were on 7, 12 hour days a week .They were miserable. My "cubicle" was freezing all the time size it shared an outside wall. No carpet, just concrete.

    Advice to Management

Don't have 16 years perform actions that can be messed up, and if you're going to, spend time training them how to do it properly.

    Pros

The people are great. They are some of the best people to work with. Everyone is willing to help with anything at work or home if needed. Family atmosphere.

    Cons

Pay is not what I expected. Chance of advancement seems poor at the present time. Not being challenged enough.

    Advice to Management

Keep the employees in mind as an investment. Make sure they advance and feel good about where they work. Don't think of company advancement without them.

"Used to be proud of the company and what they were doing."

    Pros

    Great people to work with
    Decent compensation and benefits
Products make a difference in the lives of the user
Not too big, not too small

    Cons

People no longer matter, bottom line is most important
Customer quickly becoming secondary to stock price
There has been a culture change over that past several years that has shifted the company from the values that it was founded upon

    Advice to Management

Acknowledging that the bottom line is important, superior product and people will deliver far better results in the long run than a short-term, quarter to quarter management strategy. Strive to be excellent rather than average. Morale is in the tank right now and if something doesn't correct that, the company will be damaged as a result. Why would anyone give their best if they are concerned if the job they have will be there next week?
