I have been working at Spartan School of Aeronautics part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great hours of your in school. They really work with your schedule and care more about your schooling than the work

    Cons

Not great pay. Overtime is very hard to come pay. Expect to never get any.

    Advice to Management

Loved my supervisor. But HR and Teachers have to big of a head and stick their noses where it doesn't belong.

I have been working at Spartan School of Aeronautics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The very best example of what a for profit college should be. Spartan provides good training and great job prospects for its graduates.

    Cons

Academics are thin in some areas. Instructors are knowledgeable, but content is aged and there are limited investments in maintaining or improving the educational materials.

    Advice to Management

More investment in educational content and better leadership in Academics would greatly improve student education and outcomes.

    Pros

There are not that many schools that are doing as well as Spartan. Growing in the right places doing the right things and making investments.

    Cons

Never seems to be enough time in the day but that is a GOOD thing.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Pros

Laid back shop. But that's about it for pros....

    Cons

Management refuses to spend any money to make needed changes. Planes are old and worn out. Management just wants planes pushed out as quick as possible without making needed repairs. Always short handed. Never give pay raises. The benefits are terrible. Insurance is extremely expensive. Supervisors refuse to stand up to management about all the problems and doesn't back up employees.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better.

    Pros

You get to make your own schedule, and the expense compensation is great. Lots of down time.

    Cons

I did not receive enough adequate training. It was very much a learn on your own process. Management puts a lot of stress on enrollments.

I worked at Spartan School of Aeronautics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of experience, Some good co-workers

    Cons

Low pay, management does not care about you. I was asked a couple of times to clock out before finishing a job or putting my tools up so that I would not receive overtime. I was told on a few occasions to stay until the early hours of the morning to hurry up and get a downed aircraft out of maintenance then take the next day off so that I could not receive overtime. Insurance was very expensive through Spartan.

    Advice to Management

Please for the love of god pay your students what you claim they will make when they go through your school.

    Pros

School has been open many decades; stability and longevity are guaranteed. School has excellent reputation and great hiring rate for graduates.

    Cons

No summers off; classes go all year long with a couple, 2-week breaks.

    Advice to Management

More information on website would be helpful. It would be nice to see galleries of photos of school activities, as other colleges supply.
