    Fun and engaging work environment. Very agile. Often treated for lunch.

    Expensive health insurance premium. Legacy system makes things difficult to maintain and test.

    The hours are flexible and the work is consistent and steady. There is great job security.

    Cons

    You are locked into your department with no room for any real career growth in the company.

    Advice to Management

    Motivate independent projects without manager direction. This will increase innovation rather than smother it.

    Pros

    People stay at Spectra for a long time because there are great benefits, flexible schedule, and really good people. We have a unique approach to treating our clients as partners so we have great moments and successes when our clients have those same moments. Promotion from within the company is common.

    Cons

    At times, senior leadership doesn't provide clear goals so projects can take many turns as management struggles to find the right direction. When projects change direction or management makes commitments without understanding the full scope of the commitment, this can lead to long hours/stress.

    Advice to Management

    Before committing to something, make sure that the full scope is understood.

    Trusted with taking on many projects, most of which are very costly. Gained much experience with hands on learning.

    Long hours, work many weekends and holidays, high expectations for balancing multiple projects.

    Spreading the workload amongst more senior management members.

    Cool office environment, summer season is slower, events are fun to be at.

    Cons

    very few people per department, low low pay, not a lot of room for growth, non existent training for employees, high expectations with low investments, atmosphere changing from venue to venue.

    invest in your employees more and they will preform better
