    Approves of CEO

I worked at Spectrum Associates Market Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to learn the ropes. People are nice, open, and honest. They are respectful of a work-life balance.

    Cons

Small custom research shop, so there's not much room for growth, and limited advanced learning opportunities.

I worked at Spectrum Associates Market Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice office. Made great friends that were coworkers.

    Cons

The owners are dictators and manage by fear. Low salary, drove my own vehicle with minimal mileage reimbursement. Too much work in too little time and no overtime due to salary. Management is uneducated and no people skills.

    Advice to Management

Actually care for your people. Your staff is small enough to actually take the time to say hello in the hallway, or know their names. Do not segregate management from office aids.

  3. "Good place to start."

    Pros

It's a good place to start a career and learn the basic market research industry.

    Cons

There is a limited methodology, but it suits the clients' needs. There is almost no opportunity for advancement because it's a small company.

    Advice to Management

More vacation time should be awarded earlier in the career path. Working from home one day a week would also be reasonable. Push research associates to expand business.
