advancement is slow and usually doesn't happen until people resign or there is reorganizing of roles. merit raises are low, if you get them. better off using a role at this company as a stepping stone to higher pay advancement after some experience.

Company runs far too lean, creating a stressful work environment. Managers are too buried in their own work to invest time in developing their team. Little to no room for advancement. Pay is not competitive and doesn’t meet the cost of living.

Good company to start in. The team was very accommodating and great to work with. My manager allowed me the freedom to work independently but was also very helpful when I needed help.

Cons

The biggest Con to working at Spectrum Brands was the low rate of pay for interns. Personally, I was only making $12 an hour for a position that would yield close to $20 at an another company. However, I did lack the on job experience at the time.
