I have been working at Spectrum Health (More than a year)

    Pros

I have only recently joined the Spectrum Health team. One thing I can say is that it is HARD to get in. Once you do though, you have a place with them forever. I have had several family members and friends work for this company and their experience was everything they could ever want from workplace. I am excited to be FINALLY joining the Spectrum Health family.

    Cons

Very hard to gain employment with them

I worked at Spectrum Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Company - Their resource center is a great way for both employees and the company to find a great fit for employees before a full time commitment is made from either side

    Cons

Each department is really an entity to itself. Difficult to feel part of a greater whole.

    Pros

It does have opportunity for growth. I am a CNA and was given a chance to train in another position. If they see potential in an employee to further their career, they will help you.

    Cons

I do not believe that managment looks into and takes care of employees that do not pull their weight. These people are given too many chances and should not be working there. All they do is make more work for fellow employees and make our place some where others may not want a family member to be because of a possilbe reputation.

    Advice to Management

Be more involved in all employees, not just managment!!!

    Pros

the people that I work with. They work hard under pressure and put up with lots of grief. Patients and patients families can be difficult to handle, and lately I see nurses being written up for staying over half and hour to make sure their charting is completed. I think that is just wrong. They spend the majority of their time taking care of the patients when their punched in, don't always get their breaks in and then are written up when the finally get the chance to sit at a computer uninterrupted and chart on their patients. What a load of bull!!

    Cons

Lately there seems to be to much expansion of the company, and employees are paying the price for it.

    Advice to Management

Stop building new buildings, and concentrate on employee satisfaction more
