    Pros

I've been working at Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation for one year and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

As a Millennial who graduated into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression (2008), this is the first job and company where I genuinely felt secure, well compensated, and have opportunities to grow.

I was very impressed when I saw how many of my coworkers have been working for Spellman for as long as I’ve been alive (three decades)! That means so much in this day and age.

In every company, you will have a small handful of Negative Nellies, but they certainly aren’t representative of this company and culture. In my experience, morale is high, it’s an intellectually stimulating environment, and I feel like my coworkers and I are family.

Can I see myself working for Spellman in three decades from now? The answer is a resounding “yes.”

    Cons

I'd be grabbing at straws to find any serious cons.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

Profit Sharing Bonus , fairly good health/ dental coverage , company is closed down during holiday season for one week

    Cons

High turnover , Upper management is rude in various departments , very out dated HRIS , request feedback from employees but does not know how to handle feedback. Make's themselves out to be a tight knit close family oriented environment but they are very clique-y and aren't welcoming after the dust settles . Low moral

    Advice to Management

Value your employees look for ways to help them if they fall short , increase moral. Change HR staff

    Pros

Everyone knows your name and that can be a good thing. Friendly teams.

    Cons

Stress and anxiety ridden work days, fears of being laid off at every turn. Backwards managers who flipped personalities on a dime. Promises of one position when your hired, but it turned into something else the second that you start.

    Advice to Management

Get new VP's for everything. The only one who had any common sense was VP of Ops, and he jumped ship. VP Quality is horrible. Promote internally for people who actually deserve it.

I worked at Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Truthfully there are none. Its a manufacturer trying to be corporate but it is run like an high school after-school club. There is no training provided; the owner of the company micro manages everything including watching the time clock of a 1000 person organization. The compensation varies: if you are in the "club" you get paid; if not, you toil long hours with no fair pay.

    Cons

The owner treats this company an his personal fiefdom, so there is no opportunity for anything. Customers should be concerned about their complete and total lack of customer service. It takes days for anyone to get back in contact with a customer and this is only done via email. Once a phone call is made and/or received, the customer is irate by this time. Steer clear of this company both as a customer and as a prospective employee.

    Advice to Management

When members of senior management dress in goth garb, the level of credibility goes out the window.
