    Pros

Good benefits, good pay w/ overtime potential, and career growth opportunities awarded by merit not just tenure

    Cons

Some disconnect between union and non-union employees, but seems to be improving

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep laborers and people out in the field in the loop

    Pros

Spire offers Great Benefits such as a pension, yearly bonus, 401K, Health Insurance, Life Insurance and a company issued vehicle.

    Cons

Spire Salary rate is under Market Rate. I would like to see management salaries increase. The opportunity to grow is very limited.

    Pros

Good retirement, if it remains as it is.

    Cons

Management is always making changes, most of the time going backwards instead of advancing. After acquisition, cut employees by 1/3 and did not have anyone trained to replace those that left. Makes ridiculous demands on its employees. Projects that took other companies 8-12 months to complete are expected to be completed in 1 month. No work/family balance.

    Advice to Management

Get input from your employees that are actually doing the job before requiring impossible deadlines. Before making changes, make sure that you are not going backward in technology. Utilize the knowledge and resources that are available to make the company the best it can be. The good employees that work so hard are frustrated and ready to take early retirement. A lot of knowledge is walking out the door and being replaced by people that have no clue what they are doing. It is hard to see a good company go away.

    Advice to Management

Try to find a way to listen to the actual employees, not just what mid level managers want you to hear
