    - Easy going atmosphere
    - The company is constantly looking to expand and grow
    - Working towards improving the image for customers and employees
    - New and modern office in the heart of downtown STL, with great technology and supplied for employees to work with

nothing to note at this time

    Advice to Management

Keep looking to bring experienced and energetic talent into the company

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great benefits and good people. A very conservative attitude and if you like that then you would love it there.

    Cons

Low pay, not a lot of chance for advancement. About 10 years behind the curve as far as IT. The company as a whole has a union mentallity.

    Advice to Management

I would say to keep coming along. There is alot of effort going on to improve things but they are losing good people in the mean time.

    Pros

Good pays, good benefit, nice working environment

    Cons

Extremely weak management. Management is not held to account while employes are. Employees working directly for management (in offices) are constantly given awards while people who actually move the mail are ignored.

    Advice to Management

Management really needs to communicate with employees and make the workplace more enjoyable.

    Pros

Very stable company offering unlimited ability to advance and/or grow within the company. They recognized great employees and reward them accordingly.

    Cons

Work can become monotonous some days and other days it is so crazy busy you can't find time to go to the bathroom.

    Advice to Management

Don't give so many chances to unproductive employees. If you see someone isn't doing their job or performing it in a sub par way, replace them. I get sick of carrying my load and theirs and also feel like I'm babysitting a grown up.

I have been working at Spire full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

New leadership with a focus on growth through acquisitions which provides opportunities for employees willing to embrace change and personal development. The company is looking for new markets and applications for natural gas. Very comprehensive benefit package with defined pension and 401k.

    Cons

Extremely lean which translate to significant work demands. Most work weeks are 50 hours plus. For certain positions, salary is lower than industry average.

    Pros

CEO has a vision for growth, knows her business and inspires the work force. Plenty of hard workers who want to believe.

    Cons

Unsettled environment, insecure management, dysfunctional communication. Employees aren't empowered to look for solutions to problems. Lack of trust among managers and officers. Everyone seems to be guarding turf.

    Advice to Management

Even though everyone is smiling, few are happy. Find out why.

I have been working at Spire full-time

    Pros

Most of the people are amazing, and the new office environment couldn't be better

    Cons

Too much turnover left a serious knowledge deficit, work life balance can be non-existent

    Advice to Management

Try to find a way to listen to the actual employees, not just what mid level managers want you to hear

I have been working at Spire full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer good benefits and good pay for employees.

    Cons

There is no room for upward mobility and horrible management.

    Advice to Management

Stop pushing your talent out the door. Start actively recruiting qualified applicants.

  10. "Worst Experience of my life"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

To simply have a job...to receive a paycheck no matter how stressed you are. Just simply a job to have. Not a good one

    Cons

Bad management, a system of just placing people where u think they should be.. No rhyme or reason. Management doesn't know anything about their job. Benefits are terrible.

    Advice to Management

Please be more concerned with ur employees
