I worked at Spirit Airlines part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Training
    They take people without experience
Get positioned and skilled in many different areas

    Cons

    Extremely low pay
At the FLL airport, the airline doesn't have enough employees to cover all the flights leaving in 5 minute intervals.
A lot of passengers will be hit with unexpected baggage fees or miss their flight if they need special assistance. You will work with a LOT of angry customers. It's extremely stressful and not healthy to work in that environment.

    Advice to Management

Salary increase, broaden flight departure interval

I have been working at Spirit Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The CSA team is on point. You make friends that feel like family.

    Cons

Too many bosses and too many cliques. You get written up as if that task is an entire job title. Its amazing how badly you are treated and how low the pay is. Its not worth the stress. I put one star because 0 is not an option.

    Advice to Management

Find the real solutions to high turn arounds. Sometimes, its just because of one person who does an insanely poor job managing.

I worked at Spirit Airlines as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

The pros of the job is you meet new people everyday

    Cons

I don't think its enough words to explain the bad things about this job
1.) they don't care about their employers or the contract employees
2.) flights are always delayed because you are the only person at the gate trying to board 3 flights by yourself back to back, and the passengers are extremely rude
3.) the manages and sup. are never to be found..

    Pros

Work experience and training which can be beneficial to add to resume.

    Cons

Lowest pay out of all the majors, yet they have the highest profit margin. How can they expect to retain experienced workers. It's a constant hiring of people straight out of school. I guess that's the ultra-low cost way. There is lack of trust between management and employees.

I worked at Spirit Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The younger workforce helps make the job bare able. The amount of fun you have is second to none. The people make this job worth doing

    Cons

The pay is among the worst in the industry. The schedule is terrible. They will use and abuse you like there is no tomororw.

    Pros

None there is nothing positive about this airline. Just ask the customers and if you really don't believe me interview with them and you'll see why they rank so low amongst the airlines

    Cons

Cheap, ghetto attitudes lowest pay in the industry please do not interview here. It's a waste of time I'm surprised they are in business. This long. Pay the fee dollars extra for other airlines bc it's worth it

    Advice to Management

    Move to other airlines 😄

    Pros

Free flights after 3 month probation.....unfortunately, you have to fly Spirit.

    Cons

The training was poorly orchestrated which was indicative of what was to come while working on the front lines. Lots of favoritism and pettiness possibly due to a lack of real structure within this organization. Everyone seemed afraid to lose their job and therefore behaved as children, i.e., talking behind people's backs, tattle-tailing, etc. Honestly, I felt as if I was in kindergarten. The lunch room was tiny, always dirty, and uncomfortable. There were never enough lockers for staff to use. Overall, Spirit has no spirit...at least not for their employees.

    Advice to Management

Take a page out of jetBlue's book. Add a bit of class and professionalism. Just because your're a low-cost carrier doesn't mean you have to behave and treat your staff so poorly.
