    Great place to work

    Jul 3, 2021 - Flight Attendant
    Recommend

    Pros

Free flights on most airlines for you and your immediate family, schedule freedom once you build seniority with which how fast spirit is growing you will achieve much quicker than at other airlines. You get to explore all over the country and sometimes in a few places outside of it.

    Cons

It gets a little boring uo in the sky after youve done 10 trash runs and service. You can get crazy passengers we had some of the wildest in my opinion and your stuck with them at 30000 ft. If youre not careful youll gain weight eating out all the time and youre away from home a lot.

    Toxic, Hazardous to Health

Nov 3, 2021 - Punching Bag (Flight Attendant) in Fort Lauderdale, FL
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Health insurance is the only saving grace

    Cons

Trashy co-workers who don’t hold themselves to appropriate standards. Trips are garbage and low paying. The hotels are vile. All the passengers are incapable of being situationally aware and polite. Crew Scheduling cannot get it together long enough to solve issues and we have staffing issues every single day. Inappropriate report and release times. Rude management and crew schedulers. Incompetent union—half of them need to go. Pay is abysmal. Planes are ancient and in disrepair.

Low class trash low cost carrier

Sep 12, 2021 - Flight Attendant in Fort Lauderdale, FL
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Free flight benefits on other airlines, New planes, coworkers are pleasant.

    Cons

Passengers are ghetto trash low class and ignorant. Its like working at a trailer trash adult daycare. I hope you are ready to call the cops and remove passengers on a weekly basis. Are you a good referee ? Because fights will have to be broken up as well. Let me mention the psycho passenger shot up the fll airport just because probably had to pay extra for bags. I only saw things like this in movies. Since I didnt get paid enough to deal with an unsafe work environment I had to leave for my safety.

    Terrible company to work for

    Aug 4, 2021 - Guest Service Agent
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

The flight benefits...you can fly them or better airlines that don't cancel nearly half as much and are more comfortable.

    Cons

Spirit employees are dedicated to a company that shows no dedication to its employees. They have a revolving door. Most people use Spirit as a entry into the aviation industry and quickly move on to companies that treat their employees better. They place ill-equipped workers in lead and supervisory/managerial roles. The pay scale is somewhat low. Its not what you know, its who you know. Spirit is a self sabotaging company which is why you get strikes almost every year which causes massive cancellations and even more disappointed passengers.
