The students of SEO are really motivated and they are easy to work with. The SEO stuff care a lot about their students and the quality of the staff. The salary is good compared to other non-profits and they pay the time you spend with preparation for the classes.
They need me only few hours a week.

Alumni of the programs are an interesting bunch of people.
Supervisor regularly demoralized staff and then represented our ideas as her own. She's no longer there, though, but administration seemed to turn a blind eye.
The kids are amazing! They are intelligent, sweet and curious. Most team members are dedicated to the kids and really care about them. The program is the answer to many problems in education.
Leadership lacks the ability to compensate the staff for their hard work. We are expected to work extremely hard for low wages. Also, the leadership is beginning to look at our kids as a business. It's a serious problem.
Advice to Management
Pay your staff better Or give most comp time. Make the staff feel appreciated for the numerous hours we spend with these kids. Allow people have determine their own work/life balance.

The staff is extremely supportive, fun, and exciting. Everyone is open to new ideas that would better the environment for the students and the organization as a whole. No idea is shot down, but closely examined and given its support. Everyone pitches in and helps one another because they truly believe in the mission of the program.
Work/life balance can be hard, but it is not a huge con that would deter anyone from working at SEO.
