I worked at Sport Clips part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very relaxed work environment. Great customer service. Was great to wear shorts and tennis shoes to work! Customers always had a great experience. Stylists were excellent

    Cons

Didn't really have any cons. There is nothing bad to say about this company. Just wish they would have kept the receptionists

    Advice to Management

Keep being the great company that you are!

I worked at Sport Clips (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked for the timbercreek location and had an awsome boss the owners were also great. They are franchised so every store may have a different owner.

    Cons

You end up with hair everywhere!!
If you are a receptionist there is no room for growth.

I worked at Sport Clips part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1) VERY Close-Knit co-working family
    2) Owners are regular people owning a franchise, usually nice
    3) Managers I had were professional and dedicated to the job
    4) You can get the hours you want/need if you work with your other receptionist co-workers. Someone always wants a day off.

    Cons

    1) Pay is near minimum wage if not minimum
    2) Not much upward mobility

    Advice to Management

Advice to SportClips Corporate rather than the location management:

I loved working at SC, one of the best families I've ever had! Though the opportunities for upward mobility as a receptionist are very limited. Assistant and General Management jobs are largely afforded to cosmetologists leaving receptionists at a dead-end part time job. I would've loved to make an extra $2/hr setting up schedules, running the front and trying to meet Back Bar %.

Part of what makes SportClips so amazing is its flexibility with personnel and how they want to reside within the company; but having a direct route from receptionist to corporate would raise retention and increase ambition.

FL208 was an incredible store to work for and I'll never forget it!
