I have been working at Sport Clips full-time

    Pros

    Good tips
    Decent hourly
Some holidays off but not paid

    Cons

    No paid vacation
    No paid holidays
    Horrible health benefits
Forced to sell a ridiculously high amount of product when store mgr sells nothing

    Advice to Management

Do as you ask. Don't abuse your staff and your assistant just because you can't sell retail and pull your own numbers.

I worked at Sport Clips full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good tips, clean-ish work environment, good clientele

    Cons

No set schedule, open Sundays, managers play favorites, some employees get "set" schedules and others don't, don't always get requested time off, managers overstep personal boundaries and stretch the truth of giving promotions to achieve unrealistic goals and get desired results from employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to get performance results, stick with employee availability instead of telling them they need to make other childcare arrangements and stop giving preferential treatment /scheduling to only a few employees and not the whole team.

I worked at Sport Clips part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Pay
    Flexible hours
    Comfortable attire
    Good tips

    Cons

    Too far of a drive
You have to buy your own backbar
Most tips are on credit cards so they go on your check (minimal take home daily)

    Advice to Management

Don’t tell stylists that you are rotating them all to another store when in fact, you don’t rotate them at all...you just move ONE stylist to another store that’s 15 minutes out of the way. Also, don’t lie to your employees. I asked to move to a store closer to my home and they said it was fully staffed so I had to continue driving 65 minutes to work everyday although there’s a store 20 minutes from my house. They then told me I could go to that store because they were short staffed then 2 weeks later when it was time for me to move to the store closer to my home, I was told it was OVER staffed. Such a joke and so unprofessional.

I worked at Sport Clips full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good tips depending location
    Paid Classes

    Cons

I’ve been full time with Sport Clips for over 6 years, it’s nothing like it use to be. You could hit quartly bonuses, service commission, retail commission, good tips. Not anymore they took it all away. They have the numbers set so high in new and overstaffed stores you can’t hit your numbers. Minimum wage in Arizona is $10.50 by 2020 it will be $12 an hour. They are currently only paying $10 an hour.. you can go work at Chick-fil-A and make more.
