Former Employee - Sales Associate in Gainesville, FL

    Pros

Coworkers were the best part of coming to work each day, I thoroughly enjoyed making friends and being able to talk while working

    Cons

Management is the worst, they have these sales goals which are unrealistic most of the time and largely dependent on customer flow

I worked at Sports Authority part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work was simple and easy to learn, all of the coworkers were friendly, the hours were adjustable, it was easy to take time off if needed

    Cons

Obviously as a sales associate it's minimum wage, during summer and Christmas the hours are extremely long, not enough cashiers on registers during shifts

    Advice to Management

Hire more cashiers- at least 2-3 per shift. If the registers not busy they can go work on apparel
