I worked at Sports Authority full-time

    Pros

getting to help customers and work in sports that I have a passion for

    Cons

upper management was horrible and so disconnected, store manager only looked out for herself and was selfish and misleading, POS systems were completely outdated and product was well overpriced, lied about hours, called in for extra hours only to have later shifts cut, loss prevention was a joke, would stand have to watch people walk out with product and couldn't do anything, took away benefits, glad to see company gone

    Advice to Management

stop wasting money on stadium name rights for the Denver Broncos and invest in associates

    Pros

Not much to do. Store is usually empty. So much free time though. It's actually pretty fun. Even though we don't have mush merchandise we make up for it with plenty of empty space in the store.

    Cons

The pay at Sports Authority is absolutely, positively, horrifically terrible. I have seen a pay check since all the stores closed a couple of months back.
