I have been working at Spotahome full-time

    Pros

The work is genuinely fun, working on a product that is changing the real-estate industry for millions of people.

People I get to work with on a daily basis are amazing. Smart, funny and passionate to better the product. It makes getting things done and progress so much easier.

    Cons

There's lots of work to do, and not enough hours in the day! I guess that's a positive sign of the growth of the business so not really a con!

I worked at Spotahome full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good atmosphere between workers. Location

    Cons

The management doesn't have any idea about its work. The job is stressful and in the very noisy environnement. The company is new and lack of experience is visible a lot. Spotahome is extremely unorganized. team leaders and management don't make any impression to know their job. It' s visible that most people gets higher position not about because they have experience and knowledge but connections. Job is pretty unmotivated. Salary should be higher. As booking agent you have to deal with unhappy customers which is task of customer service. You are waisting your time doing not your job because of bad organization of management.

I worked at Spotahome full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive salary and benefits

    Cons

Lack of training, leadership, misleading processes, amateur managers

    Advice to Management

It seems that they do not realize that the more market they want to reach, the more the company has to grow. Obsolete systems, complicated and constantly changing processes, unexpert managers that do not know how to communicate effectively with members of the same team or even exchange information with other teams plus an inexistence of a proper training can drown any company instead of improving. Be prepared for frustration!

    Approves of CEO

    I worked at Spotahome full-time

    Pros

Office with young people. Free beers Friday afternoon. Can’t remember any more pros about this company. Rooftop terrace is a pro

    Cons

Worst management that I’ve ever experienced. My manager was totally lost and had no idea on what to do. Worst part of it is that the management lacks knowledge and they don’t accept any new ideas. Every time I’ve suggested something it’s seemed like the end of the world.
I won’t recommend anyone to work for Spotahome if they want to grow professionally.
The only guy that seems to understand the business is the CEO but unfortunately is never there.

    Advice to Management

To hear and accept new ideas is essential to take your business next level. You can’t have managers who lack leadership and communication skills and call them managers.
When working there I’ve heard one of the managers saying, in the middle of the office, that he would lie to any business school student saying that he would do things that actually he won’t at the end, just to have him on board.
By these I do believe that you understand why I didn’t want to stay there.
CHANGE YOU MANAGEMENT IF YOU WANT TO SUCEED

    Pros

Dynamic place to work, great people and management very open to innovation

    Cons

Sometimes there are too many direction changes and lack of focus.

    Advice to Management

Continue listening employers and please don’t make the company become corporate
