I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

From a technical asset standpoint, Sprint has the ability to surpass all US Telecom companies. There are a few very smart and very driven employees who are pushing boundaries and solving complex problems. These tend to be mostly employees from the Clearwire integration.

    Cons

    Unfortunately, too many cons:
    - Management; still caught up in politics and wasting money in all the wrong places, while mandating an edict of OpEx/CapEx reduction
    - Too many lazy employees who are just paycheck collectors
    - Too many vendors involved in Sprint's day-to-day operation. These 3rd party companies ultimately care only about one thing at the end of the day; their bottom dollar. They are not vested in Sprint's success
    - Too many contractors with limited/myopic knowledge and experience, costing Sprint monetarily as well
    - The CEO: super nice guy, attempting to be transparent, but ultimately just making lots of money schmoozing celebs and making half empty promises

    Advice to Management

Put your ego's aside and listen to your "No Men"
    Stop wasting money on/with vendors
Make an effort to remove/reduce red tape - all it's doing is slowing down Sprint's progress

I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

OK pay and nice benefits for everyone.

    Cons

Executive management has no clue what they are doing. Do many meetings, hours, and not enough work getting done. I was actually told I was too smart and advanced for my work and should not fix the problems in the company.I would not recommend anyone working there!

    Advice to Management

The need more education and experince

I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. If you like what you are doing there, that's a good thing, because you'll be able to do the same thing for years without anyone really noticing. You can keep your head down and be safe for years.

    Cons

If you want to move forward in your career, good luck. Not much movement in management, even after all of the Executive level changes. The way the company wastes money is staggering.

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting money and listen to the advice of your employees. You pay people for a reason...so take the information they provide to you and make proper decisions.

    Pros

For my group they taught me everything I know.

    Cons

Management is slow to change keeping us behind in the industry. Long term managers. No longer fit for positions but won't move on for more qualified people.

    Advice to Management

    CHANGE!!
