I worked at Sprint full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The Account manger position offers a little flexibility by achieving goals early such as extra days off or leaving early. Sprint has some good benefits too, more than just free phone service.

    Cons

You are at a desk all day, so if you like the sun or want to see something new everyday you will want to look for an outside sales position. Goals can be hard to complete and training is limited, but Management makes a good effort to do what they can and give you to tools and support to get what you need.

I worked at Sprint part-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Commission system used to be way better when i started but is still decent, flexible schedule, low maintenance of store. -Good Benefits for either part time or full time. -Student Deferral - Great phone bill discount

    Cons

    - Depending on your sales experience they will either low ball you or you can negotiate with them on pay, they will try to use a commission system to make you accept a low pay but they don't tell that there are dry months throughout the year that no one comes in to buy. -Crazy custimers and sketchy business practices such as lying to guest in order to get the sell. You are expected to deal with crazy situations... that a guest might be having such as fraud or lies that other reps tolled them while management ignores it all and tells you to find a solution yourself. -Revolving door, i saw 13 plus employees quit from my own store in one year, including 3 managers. -Its a cut drought sales environment in which everyone wants to make commission, so be ready to fight within your own team.

    Advice to Management

-If you see that a manager is doing everything he can to meet the companies sales goal dont fire him because the next three mangers wont be able to either, give stores a realistic sales goal! If your going to pay us low hourly at least raise the commission structure dont expect us to stay when the competition pays more.

I worked at Sprint full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun coworkers. Free phone plans. Good benefits.

    Cons

Like many other large technology companies, room for advancement is often set back by "strategic reorganization". Just keep that in mind if you plan to pursue this as a career.

    Advice to Management

    Provide clearer path for promotion.

I have been working at Sprint full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pretty good benefits, pay and being allowed to work from home.

    Cons

They talk about diversity left & right and it's the OPPOSITE! They definitely DO NOT embrace other cultures and ethnic groups. HORRIBLE management — regardless of the department/business unit, their pattern is to place "yes" people in managerial positions who are clueless, lack experience, are bullies and treat their employees disrespectfully. However, they are chosen because they keep their mouth close, bow... their heads and agree with everything. These supervisors/managers are considered manageable and therefore "loyal".

    Advice to Management

Top management: you live/work in a silo .... either you're not aware how VP's, managers and supervisors are mistreating their employees and being extremely unfair, or you just don't give a damn!

I have been working at Sprint full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Company offers good benefits for employees.

    Cons

Opportunity for advancement is low. For the past 10 years, there is always a fear of impending layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Take the opportunity to clean house in Customer Care senior management. While the company has brought in experienced business leaders at the senior executive level for sales, finance, network, operations, etc., Customer Care is solely lacking in new leadership and fresh ideas and - particularly on the business side - is run by legacy leadership that is less than stellar and is a typical "good old boys/girls"... network model. There is a great opportunity to bring Business Care up to a higher standard of excellence.
