I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No job in this store is too terribly difficult, tedious at worst.

    Cons

Since going public, all benefits have gone downhill. Time off, insurance, actually hours available to work (even for full time supervisors/managers) have all been subject to cuts to impress the board.

    Pros

    Healrh Insurance and that's it!

    Cons

Not professional, no communication, no leadership, and the Texas leadership is the worst! They expect and insist that you provide great customer service, but don't do it themselves! Haven't they ever heard of lead by example, or " the leader of the pack sets the pace" ? I think not because the upper level management in Texas is a joke! They do not take care of their people or even attempt to improve them or train them with the tools they need to be successfull and prosper! Your people are treated poorly and not trained. The grocery market in DFW is enormous! Three retailers on every corner! Treat your people right and train them, invest in them, create a culture! A positive one would be a great start! You're not doing a good job and as an investerr I would take notce!

    Pros

Pay rate, hours, sick/vacation time. As a Department Head I did have more hours but also more responsibilities. Moving up was easy because I worked very hard. They notice!!

    Cons

No consistency, no communication, unorganized, unfair employee treatment. Once i was promoted it took 5 MONTHS to receive my benefits and back pay. Not cool. Then i was BACK CHARGED for my insurance even tho i didnt have it!

    Advice to Management

Continue rewarding those who do well, not those who have been there the longest. HARD WORK is more important than just WORKING.

I worked at Sprouts Farmers Market full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Unfortunately, I can't think of any "pro's" left.

    Cons

Sprouts started off as a good company, passionate about their products and people. Overtime, it has evolved into a place that is just trying to get the groceries out. Has lost focus on customers and employees. Focus is on lining the pockets of those at the top. Cutting a lot of corners, making a lot of costly errors, have hired a lot people who while they talk a good game, do very little to impact the business. The biggest changes came when they went public a few years ago. Many of the top leaders became millionaires and have since walked away from the business bringing in new executives who just don't seem to understand it.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your team. Stabilize your HR department - you've had 5 leaders in 6 years. Understand your business better. Customer service is what put you in the game - you've lost that!

    Pros

Work with your schedule, better pay than most grocery stores
benefits are good for a chain store
15% discount on everything in store, discount works in addition to sale items

    Cons

no consistency over policies with upper management,
    "Scared" to hold anyone accountable,
always implementing new policies w/o putting in the research to make sure they work correctly,
when the "Big Wigs" come n town everyone freaks out making staff work longer hours then necessary instead of making sure duties are done constantly thru out the year
No consistency with Time and attendance meaning you have to work harder for someone else's failures
    fresh product isn't good quality
too many allocations for product w/o a plan of action for display
constantly making drastic changes to the floor plan every week

    Cons

    Pros

employee discount on everything purchased. good and friendly co workers, fun environment. flexible hours, time and half paid holidays.

    Cons

it's a very busy store but they cut hours like the worst companies. their our cut is so ridiculous, no matter busy the store is or how much money they make they will cut hour which will turn into bad customer service. every good employee will quit because of this.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting the hours in such a way that a person can't live a decent life

    Pros

Great pay and atmosphere as opposed to big chains, there are having growing pains too, but mgmt seems to be heading in the right direction.

    Cons

Need training programs, just throwing people out there to see if they get it or not will not get them the qualified candidates they are looking for. I hear it's coming soon

    Advice to Management

Take in to account who you have hired, with the right sprouts training, greatness. Don't look at the other guys be the guy that is looked at. The talent will come😇.
