    Pros

    Awesome people to work with.

    Cons

Far travel (for me), and pay and advancement opportunities are very limited.

    Advice to Management

Stop doing contract and hire full-time people more often.

    Pros

There are no pros that I can think of sadly... Terrible experience

    Cons

Terrible work environment. Some people know what they where doing and the rest where left to wonder. Management had no direction and effectively resulted in massive layoffs. Would never work for this company unless the management changed from top to bottom, which will never happen.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the scope of your projects before you go on a massive hiring spree. People relocated from around the country and quit their job.

I worked at Square Enix UK (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work atmosphere and benefits. There is a lot to learn from the different teams and if you like games it is a great place to be.

    Cons

The pay doesn't go up much and wouldn't recommend staying in the same position for long. The difference in business mentality between the Japanese office and other offices can be challenging and at times frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Reward your high performing staff or they will leave.

I have been working at Square Enix UK full-time

    Pros

    Interesting environment
    Great people to work with
    Very good benefits available
    Some potential opportunities to grow.
Influential company in the industry which serves as a nice stepping stone for a career in gaming

    Cons

Japanese influence ever present, creating massive dysfunctions in management and work process.
Some people being there for ages can block progression for younger and more ambitious employees (in some departments).

    Advice to Management

More introspection into senior management and their non added value to teams and department.
More opportunities of internal promotions and reassignment of valuable employees.
