I worked at Square Up Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Has a nice office I guess.

    Cons

Difficult place to enjoy working. Found the atmosphere cliquey, homophobic, and oppressive. Those who had been there longer were painfully egotistical and predominantly rude. CEO was terrible. With a training scheme that essentially amounted to a trip to the pub to be told it's best to try and pitch to more senior people (well, obviously…) and little to no constructive criticism, it all added up to an environment which made it easy to understand why new people floundered so quickly.

    Advice to Management

Ensure the people you put into management positions know how to manage people. And when you do go to dismiss someone, don't have the person's respective team run out of the backdoor so they don't have to see them walk out of the office, and immediately delete them from the office WhatsApp group. Genuinely the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered.

    Pros

You get thrown in at the deep end if you survive you come through with masses of knowledge, skills, and experience. A great place for people with no experience as this is what the company strives on. You need a thick skin to survive. With that said, overall a great place to work.

    Cons

Needs structure. A conveyor belt of staff. Lack of training. No support.

    Advice to Management

Get in senior management with experience.

One of the most exciting media companies in London. Fast-paced, entrepreneurial and always pushing the boundaries of quality and innovation.

Sales is tough but fair – the cream rises to the top.

I worked at Square Up Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice enough office, product looks nice.

    Cons

Hard place to work. Boiler room environment. CEO is rude and has favorites, thinks hes a geezer and only really wants to deal with lads and pretty blonde girls. Loads of internal politics.

    Advice to Management

Treat ALL staff equally and better

    Pros

Good offices, young colleagues, fun company, great industry

    Cons

Extremely demoralising working here. Got fired after a couple of weeks for not being the 'right fit'. Maybe you should have thought about that before you hired me?

    Advice to Management

Actually make time for your employees instead of focussing on your own personal sales targets. Give newcomers a greater sense of direction.

Non really besides the pay, the location was good and the layout of the office. Also the office drinks were a plus

    Cons

Everything else, no training, condescending remarks, hard to form friendships, no chance to fully shine and progress, constantly monitored with no constructive criticism
