I worked at Squire Patton Boggs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The benefits were decent enough.

    Cons

You had to ask permission to be late, being late and making up time is not allowed. The staff was been together for more than 20 years so it was hard to be part of the group. Beware of lots of back stabbing and gossiping, they are all sharks. They allowed crappy employees to do what they wanted but new employees not allowed to do anything wrong. And they don't tell you are doing anything wrong, they just watch and add it to a list.

I worked at Squire Patton Boggs full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Most people were very nice.

    Cons

Criminal lack of professionalism; incompetent employees across departments; a company structure that is penny-wise and pound-foolish; unforgiving comp-time policy; inefficient/outdated hardware.

I have been working at Squire Patton Boggs full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great community, people are very nice and interested in you. The firm seems to invest in rewarding people for hard work and a job well done. Work-life balance seems good across the board for non-legal staff. Can't speak to how it is for attorneys.

    Cons

It is a corporate firm, so little control over what you do/which clients you support. I am not an attorney so I end up working on whatever projects the attorneys or others decide.

I worked at Squire Patton Boggs full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

global footprint, interesting international work, great support staff

    Cons

firms has grown very fast, stumbling thru some acquisitions and extremely heavy overhead, failed to integrate; top management compensates itself extremely well despite stumbles in acquisitions and overhead which are largely due to their decisions, but at the expense of others. Losing many mid-level valuable contributors in efforts to keep the select few they view as their stars; Too many former management role people drawing huge salaries based on performances 5-10 years ago while they make little or no current contributions

I have been working at Squire Patton Boggs full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

An okay selection of beverages, coffee, tea, & such

    Cons

*wreaks of greed *ego-driven environment *staff are treated like bottom feeders *partners, associates, staff are jumping off like passengers of a sinking ship *no bonuses/embarrassing raises *low compensation *high expectations, low rewards, no recognition *firm continues to acquire smaller firms, expending all profits that way; meanwhile, the staff are told to forget about ever receiving bonuses and are also advised to be content with negligible raises, falling below current standard of living *unethical *common practices that are grounds for SEC investigations, practices that should be reported *positive/negative --- we learn how educated criminals get away with unlawful practices

I have been working at Squire Patton Boggs full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    interesting clients and decent location

    Cons

Taking advantage of clients with dubious billing practices. Repercussions if disagree with unethical practices. No real opportunities for growth for women. This firm is backwards in terms of technology and way of thinking. Lack of diversity, misogynist culture, old boys club, several known incidents of sexual harassments were ignored by management because the perpetrator was a rainmaker. Partners openly make racist comments (e.g. one compared an African American man a gorilla). Stay away.
