I have been working at St. Clair Health part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, location is a plus, benefits are ok, small hospital, free employee parking and paid parking isn't that bad compared to city hospitals

    Cons

Management doesn't care about employees- only $, over worked and mandated. Understaffed and don't care. Don't care if you have a life and family life outside work. "Don't like ir- you can leave and be replaced" attitude

    Advice to Management

Actually care about your employee instead of the almighty $$$

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Primary focus is to the patient, community with the employee as a close third.

    Cons

With reimbursement cuts to hospitals and physicians the employee need to take on additional responsibility and there is not enough time in the day to complete everything

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great job you are currently doing. You are taking the hospital in the right direction so it will remain a community hospital without being gobbled up by the 2 big networks in Pittsburgh.
