I worked at St. Cloud State University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Helps having free room and board. Provides great experiences that can transfer into the workforce.

    Cons

Management seems to be focused more on catching students breaking policy as apposed to teaching students. Workload is unreasonable.

    Advice to Management

Over all, it seems as though there are two main areas that needs improvement. First, making sure employees feel as though they have a voice. Second making sure employees have all the informations necessary to them so that they can perform their jobs effectively. In my professional opinion it is important that these open lines of communication are maintained to help provide a more pleasant and effective environment for students.

Couple that with an Annual Medical Device industry Career Fair and you have a clear path to a career in the Twin Cities!

    Cons

Administrative decisionsat SCSU can take time to percolate.

    Advice to Management

Continue to foster applied graduate education program strategic initiatives in the Twin Cities!

I worked at St. Cloud State University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They are inclusive and understanding of all student workers.

    Cons

Rules that we were told to follow didn't always make sense.

    Advice to Management

Take feedback from employees and then actually follow up on it. There were many pointless rules that were kept in place because they wanted to keep authority and not be questioned.
