    Pros

    Cons

    Admissions quantity for each shift

    Advice to Management

Great place to work. Appointed Supervisors for each shift to cover call=offs would be a A+, preventing any OOps!.

    Pros

Worked while going to school, very flexible with my schedule and provided many opportunities for me to learn and engage in patient care.

    Cons

Pay is less than what other hospitals offer for per diem work without benefits. No room to negotiate but there is room to grow if you are PT or FT

    Pros

There are good people working at the hospitals.

    Cons

Don't expect to get much professional development at the local hospital levels if you're a woman in non-clinical areas. There's a definite boys club that keeps the glass ceiling nice and thick unless you're a nurse and there is a clinical director or CNO position.

I worked at St. Joseph Health System full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, salary, retirement package, lifestyle fitness center discounts, good cafeteria food, ability to use your badge to not only clock in and out, but access to door entry, parking garage, and food in cafeteria is billed to your employee account and comes out of your paycheck pre-taxed.

    Cons

Some employees who work there are very difficult to work with, and get away with workplace bullying. Terrible health insurance package, doesn't cover very well, is very expensive, and you must only go to a small network of providers, takes forever to get an appointment. Parking garages are very far away from the main hospitals, and even though there are security cameras, there have been incidents of people with criminal pasts, sexual predators, harassing employees in parking garages.

    Advice to Management

Offer better insurance and benefits packages with more options to choose from. Offer better security for employees in parking areas, especially at night. Work on employee relations, stop bullying.
