    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (More than 3 years)

    Pros

. Earn one PTO day for every 80 hours worked. You can choose to take a lump sum payment for PTO time unused.

    Cons

Company promotes back stabbing. Training is almost nonexistent. They don't match your 403b contributions. Never compliment your hard work.

    Advice to Management

Take notice of the hard work and commitment your employees display. A pat on the back for going above and beyond would be nice too.

I worked at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent place of employment. I enjoyed my tenure. It was a difficult decision to leave, but it was time. I had the opportunity to learn a great deal.

    Cons

Physician retiring. There were not any other available orthopaedic positions available. My salary was capped out as soon as they hired me. That was frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Change their salary caps. Allow employees more advancement. Better screening of residents and fellows. Stand up for their long term employees.

Stabile work environment, good PTO, work-life balance, offer meals to employees on special occasion.

    Cons

Office culture in particular department treating professional people like children. Not allowed to text and/or
