    Pros

met some nice people. No pros at this time. None at all. Hated that place. Was stress out due to employees and managements treatment.

    Cons

High levels of discrimination. No respect for individuals whom work hard. Over look "regular patients" and focus more on VIP. High levels of cut throats and "in-groups".

    Advice to Management

Treat every patient equal. stop over looking your ready to work employees.

I have been working at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This hospital offers great benefits if your a union worker the health benefits are amazing no complaints, great people to work with, able to move around to different positions as they become available. This is a great place to start your career in the health field.

    Cons

Very little room for advancement, Management doesnt appreciate your hard work, You will notice favortism towards certain employees, your expected to over backawards for "VIPS" while looking over "regular" patients.

    Advice to Management

Do more to recognize employees that go above and beyond. Also find ways to expand the hospital so employees who wish to grow with the hospital have opportunities for advancement.

I worked at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    It's a full time job

    Cons

Poor salary and worse hospital management. IT management reveals the legitimacy of the Peter Principle, people promoted to their level of incompetence.

    Advice to Management

Either find and promote good managers or provide training to create good managers. Always keep in mind, good managers are good people persons.

I worked at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The ability to literally touch any technology they can afford.

    Cons

Most of the managers were given a 1 year class and got a masters degree from it. The lack of managerial skills is abundant and they won't admit their lack of skill which inhibits their ability to grow and become better managers. The environment was built on this, especially in IT.

Human Resources continued to tell me they would call me but, time after time they wouldn't and I had to reach out to them to find out what was going on. It was very unprofessional.

Health Benefits has a crazy deductable.

There is a plan for Montefiore to fully take over in the next 5 years. A lot of the jobs will be moved to Montefiore or eliminated.

If you just need a paycheck / somewhere to start your career go for it, otherwise look else ware.

    Advice to Management

The power is in your employees and you need to realize that and make sure you have the right management to be able to realize talent and skill.

great area in cornwall, many good people to work with, mostly good management, always an opportunity to learn something new, great benefits, good education plans available

    Cons

    Advice to Management

the need to listen to everyone before making a decision, favoritism needs to stop, give promotions based on works, give pay increases based on worthiness,
