Administrative Issues
Feb 1, 2017 - Finance Manager in Boise, IDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some staff are valued, mentored.
Cons
Possibility of being sold to Intermountain Hospital System. Administrators, upper management oblivious to departmental needs. Physicians feel they were sold a deal that has not come to fruition. New computer system implementation a failure, especially in Health Information Department. Very poor management in this area. Good manager 'let go'. Remaining management incompetent. CFO questionable. Values in name only. Not consistently followed.

professional development

Great professional development resources. The company provides mentoring programs for clinical health care professionals to do evidence-based practice initiatives and research studies.
Cons
Unfortunately, management training programs had been put on hold for several years. This resulted in very poor management on some units. Other units had wonderful managers, so it was the luck of the draw since it was up to the individual manager to train themself.

Apr 11, 2014 - Certified Medical Assistant in Boise, IDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They have good employees that know what they are doing. Good benefits
Cons
Poor management, managers that are passive/aggressive or flat don't know what they are doing. I was an employee for 14 years and got with a manager that micro managed and constantly bullied. Worked with that manager for 7 months and was fired and the company was not smart enough to look back at my history with them to see that the manager could be the problem...they lost a good employee!
