I worked at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children full-time

    Pros

The kids are great and it's a super rewarding place to work. The facilities at St. Mary's are really great too.

    Cons

Interpersonal issues are prevalent. Nursing assistants aren't always so ready to help, which adds time and can effect the kids negatively.

    Advice to Management

Try to facilitate a more positive working environment. Listen to the staff about what is bothering them, and make a change from there.

I worked at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible and good people to work with. Compensation was fair. I was considered for a promotion to another department but ultimately did not get it but felt like I was given a fair shot.

    Cons

The company was going through a lot of upper management changes. The regular and every day employee's where negatively effected by this greatly.

    Advice to Management

Get everything straightened out at the top and everything else will fall in line.

I have been working at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The children, supportive team players, supervisors very helpful.

    Cons

If your not organized you can easily become overwhelmed . No raises for community staff because no union like the hospital employees! To much gossiping rather than working which makes it bad for those of us who do our jobs!

    Advice to Management

Let the winers go don't ask them to stay. They only create more work for others.

    Pros

the work with children and rehab therapists are excellent

    Cons

high school mentality . It is organization based on who likes you and who does not. If your boss does not like you do not expect to stay long.

    Advice to Management

It is a company that is a machhine. Do your work, do not make friends, do not shgare personal info, talk only if spoken too, clock in and clock out. It is not an employee focused company. Human Resources are not there for you. If that is what you are looking for you will succeed at this orgnization.
