    Pros

    Competitive salary and great benefits

    Cons

Overall the hotel is a great place to work the benefits are a big incentive, coming from such a strong management body i would have preferred this location to invest more in effective strong managers.

    Advice to Management

Better training is required for them to better execute the jobs.

    You are extremely respected

    Cons

The downsides were that management didn't always give you one on one time, but mainly because they were extremely busy.

I worked at St. Regis Hotels (Less than a year)

    Pros

Best hotel that I've been to while staying in Doha and the stuff's are amazing, very helpful when in need.

You can learn a lot from each person you meet while working or even staying there

    Cons

Sometimes people don't understand the meaning of needing your own space and they just keep pushing and pushing. Also, the managers there can be a bit mean

I worked at St. Regis Hotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great teamwork atmosphere. Positive Attitudes. Family away from home.

    Cons

At the Luxury brands such as St. Regis, loosen up on the grooming. Allowing mustache's and not beards is outdated. Mustache's just look creepy unless you have the face for it. Beards are the trend. Get with the times.

Also don't give guests all the power in the world. Have some backbone. It might be better for business if certain unpleasant people do not return.

    No paid vacation

I worked at St. Regis Hotels full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The St. Regis Deer Valley was an amazing place to work. The team there was dedicated to excellence. Everyone was kind and went out of their way to help each other. Really great back of house environment.

    Cons

As a seasonal employee, you don't get benefits (like medical, dental, etc). However, this seems to be the norm for all seasonal positions, regardless of where you work.

    Advice to Management

Within company standards, leave some space for employees to innovate and act on their initiative.

I worked at St. Regis Hotels full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free food if you work a certain amount of hours, and a nice view....IF you get to go out.

    Huge place.

    Occasional free stuff.

    Cons

If you're thinking about working here full time with an "office" job, don't. It may seem like a luxurious job...but behind the walls that guests don't see is an old, outdated enclosed office space that is surrounded by snobby people. I was so excited to work here and thrilled to be at the best resort but it was the most depressing experience of my life. They didn't value the work that I did, upper management always took credit for my work, my ideas were never considered, and not once felt valued.

This resort is now the "Monarch Beach Resort" but until upper management changes, behind those walls: it's the same hell.

    Advice to Management

Look around... Full time back of the house employees are miserable, be honest. A little makeover may do some change, but the change should start from up above. VALUE ALL employees, not just a couple every now and then. If you make all of your employees feel like they are valued and part of a family, they will stay.
