    I have been working at Stamps.com full-time

    Pros

Surrounded by smart and hardworking employees throughout the company. You are not just a name or number, management cares about each individual. Exception: if you are not prideful and passionate of the role you play, you are going to struggle and eventually managed out.

    Cons

    Nothings major.

Some of minor stuff: The Jura Coffee/Espresso/Capuchin machines are too slow, snacks/drinks in lunch room need to be stocked 24/7

    Advice to Management

Over the years, I've gone through all the growth and improvements; Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Stamps.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free dress - Come as your are (within reason)
Laid back atmosphere - No sweat as long as you get the job done
Autonomy - As long as you get the job done you can pretty much steer your own ship.
Sink or Swim - If you are a self starter & eager to learn, you'll be swimming like a fish :)

    Cons

Pay - In some cases the pay doesn't match the job duties.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your outstanding employees.

I have been working at Stamps.com (Less than a year)

    Pros

    "Fun" work environment on occasion

    Cons

Boiler room environment, your life is dictated by the stopwatch, quantity is more important than quality, experience and expertise not respected. Also wages BARELY over minimum wage, not enough to live on as a single wage source.

    Advice to Management

Enjoy the fact you are a monopoly. If you ever have to face real compition you will be sunk.

I have been working at Stamps.com (More than a year)

    Pros

Stamps.com has been the perfect place to work IMO. My team has been supportive and fun to work with. Management has been extremely fair and generous. I've learned a lot here and they encourage input from everyone. Customer care has been exceptional to my clients and leadership there is second to none.

    Cons

No downsides whatsoever, I couldn't have a negative thing to say if I tried

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, it works

I have been working at Stamps.com full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Free snack, drinks and health insurance.

    Cons

They have acquired 3 new companies, which means cockiness. They want to replace all the good employees that have been there for over 8 years with newbies to pay them less (because they have run out of cash). Customer Care Director is the ultimate Dictator. You have strict guidelines to follow in customer care- 1- welcome greeting 2-say the customers name twice 3-build rapport by asking how their day is and what kind of dog they have 4- thank them for paying their monthly fees 5- closing statement. You are being scored on all of these. All of your calls are QA's and if you dont do all of the above, you will be fired.

Dont even think about going to HR. You will not get anywhere. HR concentrates on fashion ,clubbing and 4 hour sushi lunches. For Gods sake pull down your skirt, you are not 21 anymore.

Dont expect to grow if you are in Customer Care, IT or DEV. The only ones that get promoted are Marketing & Finance.

    Advice to Management

Change the dictatorship and revamp your guidelines. Listen to your employees that actually do a good job but forget to ask how the weather is to customers on the phone.

    I worked at Stamps.com full-time

    Pros

Free snacks and drinks, company parties frequently, casual enviorment, great benefits.

    Cons

Company has become a corporate monster quickly (ie; greedy, cutting corners while at the same time splurging on parties and decorations). Growing too fast and soon has a ripple effect. Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Some depts. are bloated and useless, and others understaffed. Many get paid insane salaries for working 5 hours a day & watching youtube all day w/o consequence, some are micro-managed to death- frustrating and worse when no accountability. Hiring is based on vanity, not skills or know-how, which leads to inability to be dynamic or best in the field. HR won't even look at you on the way out to their 2 hour lunch or party planning. Sidenote: funnily enough, they dress like someone you'd report to HR.

    Advice to Management

Get an effiency expert to see what the people you are paying so much to do all day. You might save yourself some money and be pretty shocked.

    Pros

Great people, great benefits, great perks, great culture! Company understands family needs/emergencies within reason. Laid back dress code. Executive team is very accesible and loves talking with everyone. This isn't just a job - they make it feel like home. Opportunties to be promoted within are constant. The company is always looking for an excuse to celebrate something - with food and drinks and themed parties.

    Cons

New ideas, unless from upper management are often shot down. Change takes a LONG time. Many internal processes are very manual as the company still sees itself as a small business even though we are a publically traded company and our growth rate by clientel, usage and profit grow expenentially each year. Although some departments are pretty good with macro management, most are micro managed and have caused a lot of resentment with employees. Most departments feel short staffed and are overloaded.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employess requests and feedback for changes in policies/procedures more. All of the suggestions may not be able to get done, but listening, acknowledging and employees knowing that some suggestions make it through goes a long way for employees think that they are contributing to the company more than just "doing their job". Hire more people, pretty much accross the board. Everyone you speak to feels short staffed in their department.

    I worked at Stamps.com full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

No pros except they give you few stamps for free

    Cons

Very bad politics against their own employees. No management skills. They sabotage their own employees who tried to implement or at least improve new technologies like virtualization and cloud computing. No response from HR and no investigation was performed, so all are in the same bucket.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and look what other companies are doing. Executives and higher managers, learn about your employees bad practices and take action
