      Excellent staff and inexperienced leadership.

      Pros

      Lower level staffs are energetic, passionate and young go-getters. Most jobs offer flexibility and lots of out of office time. Dynamic roles where no one follows a strict list of responsibilities.

      Cons

      Leadership/management is not educated in NPO management and do not have professional experience to replace necessary education. Leadership/management is very emotional. Way too focused on what activities will bring in money instead of what activities will accomplish their mission. Very poor salaries and an expectation of all employees at their disposal 24/7.

      Pros

      The mission of StandWithUs is incredible. Over 20 years of hard work has gone into building this organization. To the organization’s credit they have done a wonderful job becoming a household name. They have some wonderful people around the organization who doing meaningful things. The Israel staff are full of rock stars and are the best hope for the future of the organization.

      Cons

      The c suite and many other executives are over their heads to be completely frank. They do not hold themselves accountable and rarely hold their under performing employees accountable. The future of this organization is held back by mismanagement at the top. The organization still operates like a mom and pop and but it’s outgrown its mom and pop.

      Pros

      There's decent health insurance, otherwise no other positives.

      Cons

      The organization does more harm than good on campus and fundraises based on fear. Pay is low and benefits are abysmal. Leadership promotes a hostile environment and it is a genuinely toxic workplace. StandWithUs is not respected by any other Jewish organizations and having it on your resume will make finding another job harder (which you'll try doing after a week on the job).
