I have been working at Standard Chartered Bank full-time

    Pros

People are generally friendly and good environment. Interesting, fairly diverse and international and good work life balance and pto, good benefits

    Cons

Low job security and there are recent job cuts everywhere and constant restructurings affecting every department. Many contract employees and cost cuts/functions (and other signs) that show poor management and seemingly stagnant future. Not a major player so you kind of know what you're signing up for and get some work life balance but security issues make it lopsided in evaluating. Consider this more seriously and... honestly would probably only advise for someone in tight circumstances or maybe at entry level needing any kind of initial exposure. Pay is below market and 401K does not immediately vest. Potentially longer hours dealing with overseas.
