I have been working at Standard Parking (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible time schedule, benefits if you average 30 hours a week. Working in other locations , sometimes overtime available, yearly raise

    Cons

Stadium location event driven no work no pay, no vacation with pay, considered part time occasional, outside working conditions extreme cold extreme heat, rain, snow.

    Advice to Management

As with all management treat employees fairly, in extreme weather seek better ways to keep employees warm, dry, cool and appreciated

I worked at Standard Parking (More than a year)

    Pros

Meeting new people who are genuine.

    Cons

Management are not on property, they complain about employees instead of meeting with them, they talk about employees to other workers, and many of the employees complain about the work environment. It is in the benefit of the workers to have the union.

    Advice to Management

Be more professional to the employees and treat them with respect.

I worked at Standard Parking part-time

    Pros

Easy work. They expect you to know basic math, be punctual, be responsible, and courteous.

    Cons

They are strict about appearance (will send you home for unapproved clothing). They are strict about being punctual (will cut part of your paycheck if even 10 min. late). If part time, no guarantee in hours and schedule will fluctuate constantly (making it hard to find additional supplemental employment).

    Advice to Management

Pay employees a living wage with the most basic of basic benefits. Higher ups have no idea what it is like to have to struggle/starve and barely survive on minimum wage. Along with the terror that comes with one day possibly getting sick or injured. All of our part time staff was forced to apply for government assistance (although they all wanted to work more for the company and not be a drain on the system).
