I have been working at StandardAero full-time

    Pros

The people who work at SA are awesome people. Some of the hardest working people in the industry. Lots of exposure to other companies like GE and Snecma.

    Cons

Very manager top heavy. Managment style
Is sometimes frustrating to deal with.

    Advice to Management

Reward your people. It's some times disheartening to hear we're making record numbers in sales and the best we get for a reward is $20 on our food card for the snack room.

    Pros

Great pay once you reach roughly 10 years and the coworkers on the floor

    Cons

Managers are horrible not a clue what goes on. Only care about a spreadsheet. If you have a question about a part/job they can't answer or help.

    Advice to Management

    Know the job you're managing.

    I worked at StandardAero full-time

    Pros

    Friendly and knowledgeable co workers.

    Cons

They monitor with cameras worse than "big brother" to make sure you are not being idle, even if you have completed your work and cleaned your respective area. They hire mostly friends and family. At the same time they will fire you in a second if it meant pulling ahead for a promotion. Think Game of thrones temporary allies, How temporary depends on how useful you are or how well you can fly under the radar. This includes being outstanding at your job.

    Advice to Management

Massive lay off and overhaul of safety personell management, HR, and upper management. They are all looking over their shoulders and creating a horrible atmosphere of job insecurity mentality among the floor employees.

I have been working at StandardAero full-time

    Pros

If you are new to aviation industries and trying to get some experience, Standardaero will hire you and should be a n excellent starting point for your career.

    Cons

Ever since the opening of WestStar in February 2016, StandardAero has been going downhill in Houston. Customers prefer landing economically in Conroe compare to IAH.
While we worked only 32 hours/week in 2016 and took mandatory vacations, StandardAero list of openings were high for Airframe, Avionics and Engines to show strength.
Company is also taking legal action on competitor for taking business and employees.

    Advice to Management

Blame game doesn't work in business

I worked at StandardAero full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you find yourself within the clique.

    Cons

No job security, under appreciated, favoritism at its best, micromanaged by incompetent managers. No opportunity for advancement and lack of communications within managements. Human Resources is a Joke.
Unbelievably, with so much negativities, Standard-Narrow took legal action against competitor for taking their good employees.
    Company is sledding downhill.

    Advice to Management

Do everyone a favor. Take a deep breath and fire yourself.

No overtime or cut back to 32 hours policy last year for some sites.
Company is been sold over and over for profit or lacking profit.
