After 1st level management position there are very few opportunities to advance to a director level position.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to other candidates.

I have been working at StandardAero full-time

    Pros

    4 10 hour day shifts

    Cons

Management is terrible.... lack of organization....... most employees are lazy and management doesn't care. Company has no retention.

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to employees instead of making terrible business decisions. Look for talent within the building. Over qualified employees not getting any chance to move up, so they move out.

could be a good place to work again with management changes

    Cons

Has no real management, No guidance, management will not engage in anything, managers quick to blame workers for management downfalls, Senior leadership is just as bad as local management

    Advice to Management

Quit, let us get some true managers before the company totally fails !

I have been working at StandardAero full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you want overtime you can have it.

    Cons

This company is very unprofessional. I was told by my boss and HR that I will be staying as late as possible and working as much as I can so the rest of my department will have minimal work. I am treated very unfair and constantly accused of things I have not done. Unfortunately for me I need the insurance for my wife.

I worked at StandardAero full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company offers 3 different shifts at their Cincinnati location, requirements are easy, job is not too challenging for someone with any mechanical and tooling experience prior

    Cons

Training is not on par with most industries, needs optimized and modernized. Metrics and process flow does not always make much sense and are not ever clearly explained to employees when hired, you can find yourself waiting on work very often if you generally accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Management styles don't make sense in most departments, and management always seemed to work against betterment of employees. The entire company has been bought and sold a few times, and I have this feeling that with current company structure, they might not be around for a significant time frame more at current rate.

    Advice to Management

I would start to look at employees as the assets they are rather than acting always as if they're replaceable. I would also advise creation of a proper, standardized training program.

I worked at StandardAero (More than a year)

    Pros

People are great to work with. Service committment is high as well as their attention to detail in what they do.

    Cons

Definate confusion as to who runs the company. Scottsdale needs to step up and set the tone for the rest of the business units. Salaries are a little low and bonus structures can really use some review.

    Advice to Management

Work harder at building an internal hierarchy that emphasizes leadership in Scottsdale. Build share by engaging specific M&A personnel to look for opportunities in Latin America and Asia.
