    Pros

Great pay and retirement benefits (for the most part) great staff. Whenever you need help (HR/payroll, CRONA, etc) everyone is more gab happy to help.

    Cons

Heavy work load, management can be tricky (depending on the manager, they can be very strict and buy the book or they can have great communication and work with you on several different topics. I wish medical benefits were better.

I worked at Stanford Children's Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The patients was very nice! The environment is safe and clean.

    Cons

The Nurses where not nice ! Employees who enjoy making your life miserable. Nurses eat their young at Lucile Packard!I will never forget my experience working there! They smile in your face while stabbing you in the back! I will never forget that one nurse who was always harassing me ! She would run to the office behind my back and tell lies. It's not diverse less than 1% of African American working there. It's a high turnover place lots of travelers and new grads!Expensive parking for employees. Food is pricey so carry your lunch. If they don't like you for any reason they will do everything to get rid of you! Leadership don't listen! Assistant Nurse managers need more classes on leadership roles! I would rather work at UCSF children's!

    Advice to Management

Never had to deal with them much! They would smile in your face and not truthful.

I have been working at Stanford Children's Health full-time

    Pros

Compassion is throughout all levels and dept.

    Cons

From staff level to the CFO admin asst to above, you can see evident favoritism and preference. Other behaviors witnessed: negative gossiping and passive aggressive behavior. Not healthy. High turnover. Hostile in a discreet manner. No perks. Unavailable senior team. Lots of last minute pressure, finger pointing, direction to complete/move it all with limited resources.

    Advice to Management

PCARES is only on the surface to some people. You will be amazed at the stories people tell themselves to validate mistreatment and ill behaviors. Try hiring at a more professional and experienced level, thinking that could yield a more mature team.
