    Pros

    Some managers were great, lots of team building

    Cons

    Poor training, some managers were terrible, unreasonable sales goals, lots of "Clopeners"

    Advice to Management

    Consistency is key! Push for better training, not just word of mouth. Copy and Print training does not prepare you whatsoever for what needs to be done in the department.

    I worked at Staples part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Though I was part-time, I was able to work as close to full-time shifts as I wanted.
    Great, friendly co-workers and local management.
    Associate rewards membership was a nice extra incentive.
    Relatively flexible, and local management cared about personal issues.

    Cons

    Very scary corporate events.
    Just bought out, change of ownership.
    Associate pay is laughable relative to work, especially in the Copy Center.

    Advice to Management

    Treat part time associates like equals, just as you should treat all human beings as equals.
    Pay is ridiculously low, with weak incentives for career progression - give appropriate pay!!

    low pay for expectations and thinning work force. Loss of support teams hampers productivity

    makes your own schedule
    great work/life balance
    Best job I've had until the print 2020 change

    Cons

    commission structure is changed and not for the best
    favoritism is rampant

    Advice to Management

    capping commission and and literally slashing everyone sales person previous year commission by half is counter productive.
    put together some competition for the sales team to earn some extra money, that would raise moral and increase the company's revenue

    I love the atmosphere and working with people. The work is challenging but I like a good challenge.

    Cons

    Working with unprofessional associates. I always believe in being very courteous and helpful in a business environment.

    We need a better training program and inspire associates rather than threaten.

    Weekly paychecks and or direct deposit. Mist of the customers are really nice.

    Pros

    Flexibility, great work/life balance. Executives communicate and are always visible and open about the goings on in the company

    Cons

    Due to layoffs, attrition, and removing certain job levels, the workload on associates can be overbearing. Associates at the home office are working nights and weekends to ensure work is done. This seem to be expected and not appreciated. This has not always been the case.
