    I have been working at StarTek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The atmosphere in the IT department is very team oriented. If I ever had an issue that I needed advice on all I would have to do is send a message to a neighboring call center tech and they would offer advice on how they resolved the issue in the past. I was able to gain lots of desktop support experience in a short amount of time.

    Schedule is very flexible and as IT there is no direct manager on site. Manager/Supervisor direction is very minimal. You are given a task and due date and it's up to you on how you get it done and when you want to tackle the project. So long as you put in your time and get the work done leadership is very happy.

    Cons

    Pay scale on the low end in my market.

    This review is for the IT dept only. Other departments may have different environments.

    Advice to Management

    Advice to IT Management - Invest in your people and allow them to expand their knowledge base.

    Pros

    StarTek Mansfield is better than other call centers. People there care about me and want me to have a good day.

    Cons

    Sometimes the calls are difficult or you deal with an angry customer, but I haven't had a job yet where that isn't the case. And dealing with an angry customer over the phone us a lot easier than dealing with an angry table when you're working at a restaurant!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the community involvement! More businesses around here should do the kind of stuff you're doing here, sponsoring parades, saving the Christmas Lights display at the fairgrounds, all that stuff. Way to go!

    Open a call center up in Oregon. You would devastate the competition with the training and positive affects you have on your employees!

    StarTek is a great company to work for. I enjoyed the work environment as well as all of my colleagues. This was one of the jobs I enjoyed waking up to go to work every day

    strong phone skills are definitely important in this line of work and the ability to handle stressful situations.

    It is a good company with opportunities to grow and move up to higher positions. My last year of employment was 2010 but it is not giving me the date above.
