I worked at Starbucks part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Training program. Flexible schedule. Benefits. Very structured and I got along with management.

    Cons

Customer interactions. Extra early morning shifts. Store was not clean.

I have been working at Starbucks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

fun co-workers, great benefits package, nice discounts with partner organizations.

    Cons

Byzantine policies, district/area-level management view everyone below them as expendable cogs, Starbucks actually incentivizes customers to treat baristas badly.

    Advice to Management

make sure your retail operations management team actually exudes the company's values. Make a real effort to engage your retail-level staff on their views. The current two-question partner perspective survey is a joke.

I worked at Starbucks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed free coffee and food, i met awsome people. They thought me a lot about customer service, and being more outgoing.

    Cons

Way to busy and never enough coverage, my partners worked so hard for their little pay. I would recomend not working their 2 years+.

    Advice to Management

Coverage is necessary for good times, and customer service.

    Pros

    Great benefits, paid time off

    Cons

Starbucks doesn't make decisions that benefit their partners. They started an initiative to simplify the work we do and make our jobs easier but quickly changed their minds.

    Advice to Management

Care about your partners in actions, not just writing.

    I worked at Starbucks part-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, good health ins. But you do pay alot for it..

    Cons

Shift supervisor has no clue how to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employee, don't just dismiss what a Barista has to say because they are not a shift supervisor. And cross train employees...
